Civil hospital to get land of Rose Cinema

RAWALPINDI—Governor Punjab Lieutenant Gen. (Retd) Khalid Maqbool has directed Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) and Civil hospital administration to settle the matter related to hand over land of Rose Cinema to hospital through mutual consultation.
The administration of District Headquarters hospital Rawalpindi, covering area of 57 Kanal and 10 marlas, has been directed to prepare feasibility report in this respect.
Governor Punjab Khalid Maqbool took the decision in to this effect followed by huge demand of Public circle to hand over land of Rose Cinema to hospital. It may be recalled that the Rose cinema is not functioning since last several years. The District Headquarters hospital Rawalpindi is situated in most populated areas of Rawalpindi and there is only one entry gate causing enormous difficulties to visitors.
When contacted Medical Superintendent (MS) hospital Dr. Khalid Malik as saying that three departments including orthopedic, neurology and Children wards would be constructed at land of Rose Cine. Trauma Center and new emergency department would also be constructed, he said. —Online
