MPA-elect Sarwar Kakar passes away

KARACHI—A veteran political personality of Balochistan and MPA-elect from Pishin Senator Malik Sarwar Khan Kakar died of cardiac arrest in a local hospital here Thursday, family sources said. Kakar, 76 was brought from Quetta for treatment at Aga Khan Hospital two days ago. He belonged to a respected and educated family of Pishin and remained provincial minister in Balochistan cabinet twice and member of Balochistan Assembly for three times. His body has been taken to his native village in Pishin for burial. Kakar was the most humble person who served the people of his area and ensured the supply of all basic necessities including water, power, gas, telephones and constructed roads in the difficult terrain of Pishin.—Online
