CDA starts work on Bari Imam complex

ISLAMABAD—After lapse of several years, the development department of Islamabad “Capital Development Authority” (CDA) has started work on Hazrat Bar Imam Complex.
The whole work would be completed in two phases while Phase-I would be completed within in two years with total cost of Rs. 260 million, said Project Director Malik Shabir Ahmed.
The contract to execute work on Phase-I of Bari Imam Complex has been awarded followed by approval of Bar Imam Shrine Management Committee headed by Caretaker Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Soomro, he said. During Phase-I, shrine would be constructed, besides minaret having length of 152 feet, he said, adding that, the design of minaret has been prepared. Open would also be established outside the Shrine and land skipping of area would also be executed, Project Director Malik Shabir Ahmed maintained. After completion of work on Phase-I, he said, the work would be started on Phase-II. —Online
