Briefing to be given after all results: Dilshad

ISLAMABAD—Commending the role of media in the General Election, Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan Kanwar Dilshad has said that ECP would give formal briefing after the announcement of all the results.
Talking to media informally, the Secretary Election Commission said that the holding of elections in a free, fair and transparent manner has proved that ECP has taken extraordinary measures. Expressing his gratitude to the media, Kanwar Dilshad said that the media played an important role in holding of elections free and fair manner.
The Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan said that the final notification of the success of the successful candidates would not be announced until the submission of details of elections expenditures by them.
Secretary Election Commission ECP told that the District Returning Officer before the issuing of District Notification would summon all the contesters and would issue final notification in front of them and sent it to the ECP. The process would be completed within two to three days by the District Returning Officer, he added. He said, media can announce polling result as told by presiding officer. Adding, Election commission has directed to presiding officer to give polling result copy to polling agents then fax it to provincial and central election commission. He further said, 10 to 12 thousand polling stations are sensitive in country while election would not be held into 10 to 12 constituencies due to death of political candidates there.
