Mushahid urges a new beginning, national reconciliation

ISLAMABAD—Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Secretary General of the Pakistan Muslim League has said that the PML bows before the verdict of the people and accepts the outcome with good grace and an open heart.
Talking to the media here Tuesday at the PML House, Senator Mushahid Hussain congratulated those who won the elections, and said the elections were an opportunity for a new beginning. He said that the people and the Government of Pakistan deserve to be congratulated for holding an honest, transparent and peaceful elections and this has added to the image of Pakistan as a democratic society. He said that the people of Pakistan have proven the prophets of gloom and doom wrong by nullifying all the allegations of manipulation and rigging.
Senator Mushahid Hussain said that the PML accepts the popular verdict for change and he added that we will continue to play our role in strengthening the democratic process by being a robust and vibrant opposition. He added that in Balochistan, the PML expects to lead a coalition government.
Senator Mushahid Hussain said that what Pakistan needs today is a forward-looking approach by bidding goodbye to the negative politics of polarization, confrontation and division.
He extended full cooperation of the PML in strengthening democracy by making the Parliament the pivot of decision-making. He also called for national reconciliation based on a common agenda above party or personal interests so that the issues and problems facing the common man can be addressed and resolved.
