ICCI congratulates Govt for holding fair elections

ISLAMABAD—President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry Ijaz Abbassi Tuesday highly appreciated the Government of Pakistan for holding transparent, peaceful , free and fair elections in Pakistan.
President Ijaz Abbassi said that they should also set a way to meet the challenges faced by the country and establishment of the economy. The holding of peaceful election will also be helpful in increase of commercial activities in Pakistan. The President ICCI Ijaz Abbassi in his address to the meeting in chamber appreciated the steps taken by caretaker government for holding of peaceful election in Pakistan.
He said these were historic elections held under most challenging times and the people of Pakistan have proved to the world that they are a responsible nation, determined to protect their sovereignty and solidarity. Ijaz Abbassi also thanked the foreign and local media as well as observers for playing a positive role in ensuring the transparency as well as credibility of the elections. Said the turnout of voters was quite good as necessary security measures had been ensured at polling stations. He expressed satisfaction on the overall peaceful situation during the polls across the country
He also appreciated and congratulated the Election Commissioner for holding the peaceful and neutral elections whose results have been accepted by all major political parties of Pakistan. The President ICCI also requested for the formation of new political government as early as possible as budget for the next year is ahead and every common man, business community is looking towards it. He said these were historic elections held under most challenging times and the people of Pakistan have proved to the world that they are a responsible nation, determined to protect their sovereignty and solidarity.
