APHC expresses satisfaction over elections

ISLAMABAD—In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed confidence that a strong and stable Pakistan is imperative for bringing about a just solution of the Kashmir dispute.
In a high level meeting held in Srinagar today, the APHC leaders took stock of the on going efforts to resolve the Kashmir dispute in the backdrop of today’s national elections in Pakistan,KMS reported. They were unanimous in their view that the elections would augur well not only for Pakistan but also for the suffering people of Kashmir. The meeting was presided over by Maulana Abbas Ansari and attended among others by Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Bilal Ghani Lone, Shaikh Abdul Aziz, Agha Syed Hassan Al- Moosvi and Fazl Haq Qureshi. The APHC leaders decided to speed up mass contact campaign to mount further pressure on India for resolving the Kashmir conflict, once and for all. Meanwhile, in Handwara, breaking the siege of Indian troops, thousands of people took to the streets to mark their protest against the stepped up acts of state terrorism. Dozens of demonstrators including women were injured, when the troops used brute force to disperse them.—APPmunications companies to comply with the orders, and protects them from civil lawsuits that may be filed against them for doing so.
