Entry of Police banned in Polling stations

RAWALPINDI—The entry of Police has been banned in Polling stations during the elections due on February 18 throughout the country including in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. However, the Presiding Officer can call Police into the Polling stations in case of need, sources in the election commission of Pakistan said. The Police would be deputed outside the Polling stations to assist the Presiding Officer and staff of election commission would not be allowed to enter in the stations.—Online
