Pakistan a secure destination for foreign investment: Ejaz

ISLAMABAD—Caretaker Federal Minister for Health Ejaz Rahim has said that Pakistan offers attractive incentives for investment in the country and investors should take advantage of government investors friendly policies.
He stated this, while talking to ambassador of Argentina Republic Mr.Rodlofo J. Martin-Saravia, who called on him here on Friday.
The ambassador apprised the Minister that Bagu laboratory of Argentina and Ferozsons Laboratories have set up a pharmaceutical plant in Lahore, which will be inaugurated in the last week of April 2008.
He said that this pharmaceutical manufacturing unit will produce measles for cancer, hepatitit-B and C and apprised the Minister that Argentina Republic has donated 1.2 millions US dollar medicines for cancer to the Government in 2006 for people in need.
The Minister thanked the government of Argentina Republic for making investment in the Pakistan Pharma sector and assured the Ambassador full support with a view to expand cooperation between the two countries not only in health sector but also in other sector of economy.
He also expressed pleasure that cancer drugs will be produced by Bagu Laboratory in Lahore, which were earlier imported.
