9th Avenue still in doldrums

ISLAMABAD—The opening of 9th Avenue before the deadline of February 24 seems to be difficult as G-9 Bazaar still not has been shifted.
According to sources, Chairman CDA Kamran Lashari had directed the contractor of the project to complete the work before February 10 but the contractor failed to complete the work. Sources said that G-9 Bazaar is the main hurdle in the timely completion of the project, adding that neither road was completed nor street lights were installed. The work of plantation still has not been completed on the road due to negligence of Environment Directorate of CDA, sources added. Sources further said that in case of rains, the work of construction on the road and installation of streetlights would be further affected.—Online
