Elections in NA-42 postponed

ISLAMABAD—Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday announced that elections in NA-42 Tribal Area-VII have been postponed till further orders. In a statement the Secretary ECP Kanwar Dilshad said that in pursuance to the reports, received from the Secretary (FATA), FATA Secretariat, Peshawar regarding law and order situation in South Waziristan Agency and in exercise of the powers under section 25 of the Representation of the People Act, 1976 read with Article 6 of the Election Commission Order, 2002 the elections have been postponed.—Online
