PPP has joined hands with dictator: Baloch
ISLAMABAD—Central leader All Party Democratic Movement Liaqat Baloch
said that PPP leadership is joining hands with a dictator. Nawaz Sharif
will not do so nor will he support Zardari on this issue.
Appealing to the masses not to support the parties, which were
contesting the elections, said that Election commission is partial and
the judiciary is detained. Therefore any fair and transparent elections
in the prevailing situation stand ruled out. In a special interview with
Online he said MMA is split up in fact. One faction is contesting the
election. People should not cast vote in favor of any party in the name
of Jamaat-e-Islami, he appealed. One religious party, which is
contesting election, should not use the symbol of book.
Terming assassination of Benazir Bhutto as the tragic event of history
of country he said President Musharraf is responsible for shahadat of
Benazir Bhutto. Political parties are not getting united to launch
movement against president Musharraf because of their personal
interests. Only APDM and PML-N are talking about restoration of
judiciary. PPP leadership is joining hands with a dictator. Nawaz Sharif
will not do so nor will he support Zardari on this issue, he said.
He said People have lost their confidence on the elections and they are
disappointed over the role of political parties. Harassment is being
fomented under a conspiracy to prevent people from going to polling
stations to cast votes, he added. Liaqat Baloch was of the view some
hidden hands were trying to destabilize the country. The upsurge in
suicide attacks are aimed at dissuading the people from casting votes so
than turn our remains low.
He announced they would not become plaything in the hands of
establishment. People are rejecting the elections and their
participation in electoral meetings is next to nil, he claimed. People
are disappointed with the role of political parties. The offices of
these parties are left empty. The office bearers of the parties are also
hesitating to run the election campaign. A wrong impression was being
created that country's nuclear assets were not in safe hands. We have
confidence on army and we want end to army interference in the politics.
President Musharraf speaks in the langue of bullet rather than going for
dialogue. Army has become controversial during Musharraf regime and it
is being targeted across the country, he said.—Online |
