4 killed as roadside hits rally

SWAT—At least four people have died and seven injured including former member of provincial assembly and candidate of national assembly on Wednesday as a result of remote control bomb blast in Mingo Town, a area of Charbagh in Swat.
According to details, candidate for National Assembly of MMA Mufti Hussain was on his way after addressing an election rally in Tehsil Charbagh. When his caravan reached near Mingo Town as the remote control bomb planted near road- side blasted with big bang. As a result four people died on the spot while seven others including Mufti Hussain were injured seriously.
All the deceased and injured have been shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital immediately for medication. The security forces cordoned off the area after incident and initiated investigation, the sources concluded. A bomb ripped into an Afghan army convoy near a former Taliban stronghold Wednesday, killing three soldiers a day after gunmen attacked the home of the area’s leader, the official said.—Agencies
