Zardari to address public meeting on 14th

LAHORE—Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari Tuesday said the party would hold its first meeting in connection with upcoming elections in Punjab after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto at Faisalabad on February 14. Addressing a press conference at Bilawal House, Model Town here, he said he will also telephonically address the people and workers in different parts of the province besides giving interviews to different private channels during his stay in Punjab before the polls. “ I have come in the city of valiant people with a mission of Benazir Bhutto to restore real democracy in the country,” he added. Dua was offered for the departed soul of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto before the press conference. Secretary General PPP Jehangir Badar,Rehman Malik, Farhat ullah Babar, Farzana Raja and other ppp leaders were also present.
