Zero tolerance for law & order violation: Hamid

ISLAMABAD—Caretaker Federal Interior Minister Lt Gen. (Retd) Hamid Nawaz Khan has said in equivocal terms that no one including lawyers would be allowed to take law into his hand during the elections process and such elements would be deal with Iron hands.
Talking to media men after sapling plant in connection with tree plantation campaign in Islamabad, he said, the international observers would be allowed visit every place excluding some sensitive areas of the country.
Complete security would be given to international observers, he said, adding that, each observer would have security team. Commenting on arrest of Taliban Commander Mullah Mansoor Dadullah along with his five associates followed by fight with Frontier Constabulary, the Federal Caretaker Interior Minister declared it big achievement.
We cannot allow holding of public gathering at any one Chowk, he said, adding, Rawalpindi is a populated areas where security problem can erupts due to public meetings. The Party will have to take permission from Rawalpindi administration for holding public gathering, Hamid pointed out. Answering to a question about missing of Tariq Azizuddin, Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, he said, the matter is handling by Political administration and foreign ministry.
Rangers would also deployed along with Pakistan army in the polling stations, he said, adding that, foolproof security would be provided to international observers. Commenting on Charsada suicide attack at rally of Awami National Party (ANP), he said, it was an attempt to sabotage the elections process.
He made it clear despite incident of terrorism the elections would be held on February 18 at every cost. Under the investigation carried out by Pakistani investigation agencies sofar, it has been informed that four person are involved in the assassination on late Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Hamid pointed out.
