APDM leaders’ detention denied

ISLAMABAD—The ministry of Interior has strongly rejected the reports about the detention of 875 leaders of different political parties who are boycotting the election and termed these reports as false and baseless.
According to details, the detention reports of around 875 leaders of political parties including Imran Khan, Qazi Hussain Ahmad and Mehmood Khan Achakzai by the ministry of Interior in order meet any unpleasant incident amid election day continued circulating on Tuesday.
However, the Ministry of Interior has denied these reports and termed it baseless and fabricated. Earlier, the Private TV Channels continued to telecast news about the detention of the Qazi Hussain Ahmad, Imran Khan, Liaqat Baloch, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Qadir Magsi, Rasool Bux Paleejo, Prof. Ghafoor Haidri and several leaders of other political parties including PONAM and APDM. Private TV Channel reports said that they were detained under the MPO Act in order to avoid any untoward incident. Meanwhile, Caretaker Federal Interior Minister, Lt. Gen. (r) Hamid Nawaz and Spokesman Ministry of Interior, Brig (r) Javed Iqbal Cheema have strongly denied reports about the detention of these leaders.
