Judiciary to be reinstated, says Nawaz

LAHORE—The head of PML (N) and former PM, Mian Nawaz Sharif has promised that if his party PML (N) was voted to power it would reinstate judiciary besides putting an end to inflation, obscenity, and unemployment.
Addressing a public gathering at Jamia Naeemia, he said that all those who have/and were responsible for committing brutalities against humanity in Lal Masjid, Swat and Waziristan, do not deserve votes but rather penalties. He warned that if National institutions kept on breaking, than one day the Country would be dismembered.
He berated the way every citizen was faced with uncertainty about Country’s and his future, and expressed his regrets that Pakistan Army was being pitted against its own citizens, while it should be pitted against its enemy.
He said that all he wanted was supremacy of law and judiciary, and it was a wrong notion, if anybody was contesting elections, just because he coveted the post of PM. He expressed his hopes that masses would exercise their due rights on 18th Feb with due care and prudence.
Chief Pakistan Muslim League (N), Nawaz Sharif Monday said in present situation elections cannot be fair or impartial, however, PML-N can be a part of a coalitions government if it assures to struggle for restoration of democracy.
Addressing a press conference here, he maintained that the ruling PML (Q) is getting more and more concerned about it diminishing popularity and alleged that it has issued orders for rigging the upcoming elections.
“The Election Commission is not taking any notice of the pre-poll rigging despite having all the proof in this regard,” Nawaz Sharif alleged, adding “ that is why we have no hope for the elections to be fair and impartial.”
He said the government wants minimum turn out on the election day so that it can easily rig the polls.
PML-N Chief termed his participation in the upcoming polls as a movement for restoration of democracy which, he said, will be carried on both on the streets as well as inside corridors of power.
President PML-N, Shahbaz Sharif warned police and other government dignitaries not be part of the rigging plot or else they will be awarded punishment by people’s court.
