Efforts on to send manpower to Yemen, Korea for employment: Ghuman

ISLAMABAD—Caretaker Minister for Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Nisar Ahmad Ghuman Monday said that Yemen has shown great interest to import skilled and un-skilled manpower from Pakistan.
Addressing the news conference here, the Minister said that Yemen had desired to import work force from Pakistan in the fields of Information Technology, Chemical Engineering, Oil and Gas exploration, Infrastructure Development besides other technical areas.
He said Yemeni Minister for Labour and Social Affairs, Doctor Amna Razzaq Ali would soon visit to Pakistan to finalize the modalities required for skilled and un-skilled export of Pakistani manpower.
“Business communities of Yemen have also shown their willingness to engage Pakistani work force in their projects, adding, this demand would be in thousands”, he added.
“We have offered maximum trained work force in various field which was required to Yemen”, he further added.
The Minister said that he had visited Yemen accompanied by the Prime Minister Muhammad Mian Soomro in first week of February and held meetings with the Yemeni Prime Minister and others.
About meetings, Ghuman said it was very positive and both sides had shown strong desire to further cementing the existing relations between the two countries.
Besides manpower, he said the Yemen government has also shown interest to invite Pakistanis investors to invest in oil and gas sector.
Replying a question, the Minister said that efforts are underway to send more trained manpower to Korea.
He said the ministry is making plan to arrange Language Classes countrywide to educate the work force about Korean language.
“Recently, I met Korean Ambassador to Pakistan who shown interest to hire unlimited Pakistanis manpower, however, Korean language certification is necessary for work visa”, Nisar Ghuman added.
