Promotion notification of teachers today

RAWALPINDI—Punjab Government would issue the notification today (Saturday) related to promotion of teachers imparting education in state run educational institutes throughout the Punjab including Rawalpindi.
Under the notification, upto 3,50,000 teachers including 8500 teachers of Rawalpindi would get promotion, sources in the education department said. The decision to issue notification was taken followed the protest call of teachers association. It may be recalled here that Former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhary Pervez Elahi announced special incentive package for teachers last year and notification in this respect was to be issued in month of January. 634 male and 490 female secondary school teachers would get promotion in Grade 16, 17 and 18.
317 male, 245 female teachers would be promoted from Grade 15 to 16, 222 male and 172 female teachers from 16 to 17, 45 male and 73 female teachers from 17 to 18, 85 male and 170 female teachers from 13 to 14. The teachers having grade 7 and 9 imparting education in Primary school teachers would be promoted to Grade 9 and 11 respectively. The teachers of elementary schools would be promoted from Grade 11 to 15 on seniority basis.
