Zardari vows to complete Benazir’s mission

GHARI KHUDA BUKSH—Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has vowed to continue movement till the change of current system and announced to start election campaign throughout the country from today (Friday). The Party would observe martyrdom day (Shahahdat day) on December 27 every year, said Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari while addressing the mammoth public gathering who gathered here to observe the Chelum of late Former Prime Minister and Chairperson PPP Benazir Bhutto.
He said his spouse Benazir Bhutto lost her life for restoration of democracy and rule of law in the country, adding that, her Party would take revenge of her assassination. Asif Ali Zardari said he would not hesitate to render sacrifice for the cause of democracy and completion of Benazir Bhutto’s mission, adding that, he would also die for struggle for the restoration of democracy and also be buried in Ghari Khuda Buksh.
The return of Benazir Bhutto to homeland was meant to change the current system, as she could have started politics from Bilawal House London and Dubai, he pointed out. Benazir Bhutto regarded politics as worship but the Yazids of today have killed her Zardari said, adding, either he will stay or those responsible for killing her.
Zardari said he would not sit silent till the change of current system. We will take revenge of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination automatically when there would be rule poor people in the country. “We will complete the mission of Benazir Bhutto. PPP would start election campaign around the country from today (Friday). The candidates of PPP would visit each city of country during the election campaign”, Zardari added.
The Party leaders and activists, he said, would be responsible to complete the mission of Benazir Bhutto and if he died during the election campaign he has asked the Party leaders to bury him also in Ghari Khuda Buksh. PPP has always worked for the welfare of poor people and restoration of genuine democracy in the country, he said, adding that, several Party leaders lost their lives for the cause of democracy.
The people who think that there are differences among the ranks of Party are on mistake, he disclosed. Speaking on the occasion, President PPP Sindh Qiam Ali Shah said Asif Ali Zardari would start elections campaign from today (Friday) and first public gathering in this respect would be held in local stadium of Thatta on February 09. The Party activists around the country have been directed to remain active and start elections campaign with full enthusiasm.
Talking to media men, opposition leader in the Senate Raza Rabbani said Benazir Bhutto was a symbol of Federation and lost her life for restoration of democracy and rule of poor people, adding that, he and Party activists are ready to give any sacrifice for the completion her mission. The revenge of Benazir Bhutto assassination would be elimination of dictatorship and restoration of real democracy, Raza said. The return of Benazir Bhutto was meant to eliminate dictatorship.
The Party workers have started elections campaign throughout the country after 40 days of mourning, he added. He made it clear PPP we would not bow down before the dictator and would continue struggle for welfare of people, restoration of democracy and rule of law.—Online
