ambassador visits ICCI
ISLAMABAD—Rodalpho Martin Saravia, Ambassador of Argentina to Pakistan,
called on the President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI)
Ijaz Abbasi here Thursday and discussed with him matters of bilateral
trade and economic interest. He expressed the desire for further
cementing relations with Pakistan saying there was a scope to bolster
bilateral economic ties and increase the level of trade. He offered
Pakistan to export cotton, textile, surgical and sports goods and also
showed his interest to sell ceramics tiles, latest technology and CNG
kits to Pakistan. He said that Argentina would assist Pakistan to
enhance the agro and dairy products. He said that 60 per cent milk
production of Pakistan was being wasted due to lack of latest
technology. The cooperation would extend to other areas like
agriculture, pharmaceutical products as Pakistani surgical equipments,
sports goods and textile items are very famous in Argentina, he said.
The ambassador said that an agreement would be signed between Islamabad
Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Argentine Chambers of Commerce for
increasing bilateral trade and flow of information between the private
sectors of the two countries.
