All Pakistan Lawyers Convention to be held on 9th
RAWALPINDI—Announcing to participate in All Pakistan Lawyers Convention
to be held in Supreme Court Building on February 9, the High Court Bar
and the lawyers organisations of District Bar Association Rawalpindi
Division have said that the convention would be a blow to the
dictatorship.
A meeting of Lawyers of District Bar Association in this regard was held
here under the chairmanship of its President Tariq Masud.
President High Court Bar Sardar Asmat Ullah, Former Vice President of
Supreme Court Bar Muhammad Akram Chaudhary, Toufeeq Asif Advocate,
Zulfiqar Abbass Naqvi and other lawyers were also addressed on the
occasion.
The meeting was also decided that new strategy would be devised keeping
in view of the latest developments in the country. The meeting has
expressed their support to "Youm-e-Ahad" announced by Nawaz Sharif to
show his solidarity with on-going movement for the restoration of 62
deposed judges and for the rule of law and independence of the
judiciary.
The lawyers fraternity also paid tribute to support expressed by Ex
Servicemen Society comprised of former Chiefs of the Armed Forces,
commandoes and officers, for the lawyers movement.—Online |
