Divulged: BB in will names Zardari as successor

NAUDERO—The Secretary Information of PPPP, Sherry Rehman has revealed the will of Benazir Bhutto to media sources, on Tuesday. Addressing a press conference in connection with the forthcoming book launching ceremony of latest worldwide publication of the late PPPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto to be issued in Urdu, Sindhi and English languages, on 12th Feb, Sherry Rehman informed the media that the will would be included in the last chapter of the original manuscript.
She informed the media that the will of the late PPPP chairperson was based in two parts; one of which was purely political while the second part was based on personal matters. She denied that Benazir had outlined anything regarding the choice of future PM from within PPPP ranks, but had only mentioned about leadership aspect. While reading out the political part of the will, which pays glowing tributes to party workers and activists and expressed her deep pride in leading such a party, whose workers had played an important part in fulfilling the mission of Late Z.A. Bhutto. She had nominated her husband Asif Ali Zardari as co-chairman of the party for an interim period, until the PPPP was able to select a regular chairman of their own.
The will pays glowing tributes to Asif Ali Zardari for being a courageous and unbreakable personality who did not bow to any hardships and 11 years of jail, and has a politically analytical mind, which can help maintain unity and cohesion in PPPP ranks. She had also expressed her hopes that the brave and zealous workers of PPPP would help evolve the agenda of PPPP, which caters fully to masses welfare and prosperity. She expressed her deep concerns and fears about the future of Pakistan and stressed her party workers to keep up their struggle in face of all adversary. Replying to various questions by the journalists, Sherry Rehman pointed out that Benazir Bhutto had already indicated possible threats to dangers posed to her life at press conference held at Bilawal House on 19th Oct 2007, after the 18th Oct incident, and was well aware that she would/could be assassinated, but nevertheless continued her mission dauntingly.
Sherry Rehman also informed that the decision to add the will in the latest publication of Benazir Bhutto was taken at special meeting held in Naudero And said that PPPP had always advocated contesting general elections since it was an integral exercise of democracy which PPPP had always withheld, hence the decision to contest the forthcoming elections despite “all odds and reservations”. —Agencies
