Trucks smuggling wheat flour impounded

PESHAWAR—In view of the allegations regarding smuggling of wheat flour, vigilance has been mounted to prevent the out flow of this commodity from the country. Four mobile squads of Customs intelligence and investigation office conducted a general hold up of all the major roads leading to Mohmand and Khyber Agencies (FATA). Two trucks loaded with wheat flour were intercepted at Naguman Chowk, one of which was destined for Shab Qadar and the other for Mehmand Agency. The one destined for Shab Qadar from Shama Flour Mills Burhan with 600 bags was later on allowed to proceed to its destination in view of the fact that there is no ban on the inter provincial or inter district movement of wheat flour. The documents of the other truck with 600 bags destined for Mohmand Agency from Asakar Flour Mills Peshawar were also found in order and which was also allowed to proceed to its destination after discussion with Political Agent Mehmand Agency.
