National Strategy on Kashmir issue after election: Mushahid

ISLAMABAD—Secretary General Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Syed Mushahid Hussain said Tuesday national Kashmir strategy will be formulated after elections for which all political parties will be invited.
Addressing a Kashmir Solidarity Conference at PLM House here on Tuesday, he said there was no need to review policy on Kashmir in new changing international circumstance for the resolution of this long-standing issue.
Mushahid Hussain underscored the importance of evolving solid political, economic, diplomatic and media strategy on Kashmir issue as no single individual, institution and party could resolve this issue.
He said that Kashmir issue should be resolved according to wishes of Kashmiri people by implementing UN resolutions on Kashmir.
He said that manifesto of PML fully support Kashmiris’ right for self-determination and their freedom struggle.
Mushahid said that US policy on Palestine issue had been changed, adding same approach and principles should be adopted on Kashmir issue for the durable peace in South Asia .
He called upon the international community to leave its double standard on Kashmir issue. He said that Pakistan, India and international community should hold dialogue with Kashmiri leaders.
On this occasion, a resolution was also passed to express full support for Kashmiris indigenous freedom struggle and condemned atrocities of occupied Indian forces on Kashmiris.
He said that unfortunately after 9/11 genuine freedom struggle movement were being linked with terrorism and extremism which poses great threat to world peace.
