Inquiry ordered into ownership rights to Govt employees

ISLAMABAD—Caretaker Minister for Housing and Works Nisar Muhammad Khan has ordered the inquiry to grant ownership rights to the Government employees in Karachi and presents the report within three days.
Talking to exclusively here on Tuesday, the Caretaker Minister has said that Estate Officer Islamabad Sher Afzal Khan has been sent to Karachi to conduct complete inquiry of the matter.
The Minister underlined that after the investigation, it would be cleared that on whom recommendations and on what basis, the ownership rights were granted to Government employees.
Talking on the issue of evicting the official residences from the occupation of the retired Government employees, the Minister said that the matter for the time being has been deferred.
He said that the issue of giving ownership rights to the Government employees has been raised by the previous Governments just to get the political benefit, adding that we want to conduct the elections in a peaceful manner.
The Minister emphasized that the parties, which pledged to give ownership rights to the allottess, did not fulfill their pledge and now they should stop to play with the sentiments of common people, he added.
