Two IJT activists banned, six students expelled from BZU

MULTAN—In response to Friday’s incident that had left few students injured, disciplinary committee of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) banned entry of Nazim of Islami Jamiat Tulaba (IJT) Luqman Nazir and another activist Bakht Khan into the university premises. Six other students were expelled for ever and three more for one year, BZU spokesman said in a press statement on Sunday. It may be noted that last Friday IJT activists allegedly attacked and injured some students having affiliations with People’s Students Federation (PSF) by hitting them with batons and iron rods after they spoke in support of a boy and his sister while they were resisting IJT activists’ attempt to force them leave a place in front of IMS department. Those expelled for ever included Muzammil Noor (Commerce department), Ghulam Jilani (Library Science deptt.), Mahr Amjad (Pharmacy), Rana Khalil (Undergraduate centre BS chemistry).—Online
