Kashmir Solidarity Day observed

MUZAFFARABAD—Kashmir Solidarity Day Tuesday was observed throughout Pakistan and across the world with great zeal to support Kashmiris struggle against occupation of Indian forces. Kashmiris living across the globe pledged their support to their right to self-determination.
The day began with special prayers for the Kashmir cause at all mosques. Fateha and Quran Khawani was held for martyrs. Banners and posters have been displayed in streets to express solidarity with Kashmiris. It is pertinent to note that the day is being observed in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir for the past 15 years to express solidarity with the Kashmiris struggling for their right to self-determination under the shadow of Indian bullets and bayonets.
One minute silent was observed across the country. Rallies, seminars, walks and protest demonstrations have been held across the world. Radios and Televisions stations have presented different program on this count. On this occasion, protesters staged a sit-in in front of Indian High Commission Islamabad.
The protesters were holding placards, banners inscribing with slogans for freedom of Kashmiri brethren. The protest demonstration was led by APHC Convenor AJK Chapter, Syed Yousaf Naseem, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Human Rights, Hamayun Mirza and PPP leader Akram Shah.
