Atiq-ur-Rehman IJT new president

LAHORE—The members of Islami Jamiat Tulaba Pakistan (IJT) from across the country have elected Atiq-ur-Rehman as their president(Nazim-e-Ala) for the next session 2008-09. IJT central office Lahore sources told APP that the elections were held in Peshawar during the three-day annual member convention. Abdul Wadud and Hamid ur Rehman members of IJT media cell said that more than 1300 members of IJT across the country participated in the election and Atiq-ur-rehman was elected as president. Atiq-ur-Rehman in consultation with central executive committee has appointed Syed Abdul Rasheed as Secretary General IJT while Hafiz Mohammad Hassan and Raja Shoib both Assistant Secretary General. He also nominated Sohaib Ammar Siddiqui caretaker President IJT Punjab (south), Hafiz Nadeem(north), Ajmal Khan N.W.F.P., Nadeem Abbas Azad Kashmir, Umar Hayat Khan Balochistan and Ali Mohammad Bardu for Sindh.—Online
