DM Chief writes to Chinese President

Excellency,

I am availing myself of this opportunity to convey to Your Excellency profound sympathy on behalf of the Pakistan- China Media Friendship Association, The Daily Mail Pakistan and on my own behalf, on the difficult time, faced by the brotherly people of People’s Republic of China on account of one of the worst snow storm and severest winter in Chinese history. The tragic loss of life and financial damage caused by this unforeseen natural calamity is very unfortunate.
The excellent manner in which the Chinese leadership, under your able guidance, has tackled with this enormous natural catastrophe is highly commendable. The Chinese people have also displayed a great resolve to brave this disastrous situation with tremendous courage and fortitude, proving once again their status of a wonderful nation.
Chinese people and leadership have always shown strong fraternal solidarity with the people of Pakistan in every time of need. It is for this reason that the friendship between our countries is regarded as all- weather, independent of the vicissitudes of time. I am quite positive and sure that I reflect the sentiments of the entire Pakistani nation in saying that people of Pakistan fully share the anguish of their Chinese brethren in this hour of distress and wish that they overcome this difficult time soon.
I would further like to avail myself of this opportunity to convey our best wishes for a very happy Chinese New Year and for the prosperity and continuing progress of our Chinese brothers and sisters and for the health and well being of your Excellency.
