Inter provincial car lifters apprehended

PESHAWAR—Peshawar police busted inter provincial car lifters gang and recovered the car lifted from Shahdara in Lahore in the Mathra Police station area. According to a police press release, SP Rural Naserul Mulk had information that some anti social elements who had lifted car No. LEJ 4373 from Shahdara in Lahore on January 26 last and a report had been lodged with the concerned police station have brought it to the area in Mathra police station. Upon this information he directed the SHO Mathra to tighten the noose around the culprits who made nakabandi on all entry and exit points. During the nakabandi the car in question appeared which was stopped by the police staff and took it along with its occupants into custody in a very professional manner. The occupants of the car were identified as Fazal Khan son of Zareen Khan resident of Kochian near Mathra and Nisar Ahmad son of Mohammad Ishaq resident of Kot Nasar in District Qasoor. The culprits have been taken into custody for further investigation. Appreciating the efforts of Peshawar Police, the CCPO Tanveerul Haq Sipra has said that noose around the anti social elements has been tightened as the police force is alert against them round the clock.—Online
