Seniority lists for promotion of teachers finalized 

RAWALPINDI—The Departmental Promotion Committee has finalized seniority lists for departmental promotion of teachers imparting education in different schools of District Rawalpindi. The lists were finalized during the meeting, chaired by Executive District Officer (EDO) Chaudhry Muhammad Yousaf and attended by District Officer Secondary, District officers Elementary and representative of District Coordinator Officer (DCO) Office.
Upto 903 female and male EST, SVT, OT, AT, DM and PIT teachers would be promoted from Grade 9 to 12, 14 and 15 while notification in this is likely to issue in first week of February, sources in the meeting said. 300 female and male teachers belongs to EST cadre, 350 of SVT cadre, 106 of AT cadre, 22 of OT cadre, 40 of DM cadre and 85 of PIT cadre would be promoted. Earlier, the seniority lists for the promotion of teachers belonging to other cadre was prepared but despite lapse of 15 days the notification could not be issued. Upon it, President Punjab Teacher Association District Rawalpindi Arif Raza and Chief Organizer Malik Sabir registered a strong protest before the relevant authorities and demanded to issue notification for the promotion of teaches immediately.—Online
