Ansar Burney visits Gaddani jail

KARACHI—The Federal Minister for Human Rights, Syed Ansar Burney, visited the Gaddani Jail and met with the inmates and discussed their problems. A statement said that many of the prisoners apprised the Minister of the problems pertaining to the medical facilities. Taking notice of these problems, Ansar Burney assured the provision of X-ray machine, lab as well as the medical staff and issued necessary directives in this regard. He also asked the jail administration to provide details regarding the aged inmates so that their problems could also be addressed. The Minister also promised construction of shed for the visitors and a dough machine for baking to facilitate the inmates.—Online
