Traders refuse to close shops for two hours
RAWALPINDI—Markazi Anjman-e-Tajran Rawalpindi has refused to accept the
WAPDA’s decision to close their shops from 6pm to 8:30pm. A spokesperson
of Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran Rawalpindi, Naveed Kanwal while talking to
Online said that before taking any decision by the Government or any
other department, the concerned community should be taken into
confidence.
Admitting the current power crises in the country, the spokesperson of
Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran Rawalpindi said that the traders community are
ready to provide all out cooperation but the Government should also take
traders into confidence. He said that as compare to Lahore and Karachi,
the trade activities normally end before 10 pm in Pindi and it is not
possible for the traders of the city to again open the shops after
closing at 8:30pm. Every city has its own environment and in case of
Rawalpindi, the decision is not acceptable, he added.—Online |
