Traders refuse to close shops for two hours

RAWALPINDI—Markazi Anjman-e-Tajran Rawalpindi has refused to accept the WAPDA’s decision to close their shops from 6pm to 8:30pm. A spokesperson of Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran Rawalpindi, Naveed Kanwal while talking to Online said that before taking any decision by the Government or any other department, the concerned community should be taken into confidence.
Admitting the current power crises in the country, the spokesperson of Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran Rawalpindi said that the traders community are ready to provide all out cooperation but the Government should also take traders into confidence. He said that as compare to Lahore and Karachi, the trade activities normally end before 10 pm in Pindi and it is not possible for the traders of the city to again open the shops after closing at 8:30pm. Every city has its own environment and in case of Rawalpindi, the decision is not acceptable, he added.—Online
