NBF annual book exhibition ends
ISLAMABAD—The annual book exhibition of National Book Foundation (NBF)
initiated to attract young readers ended here Sunday. The book
exhibition is a permanent feature of the foundation held twice in a
year. It is an effort to promote book reading culture in the country, an
official at NBF told while talking to APP. The 20,000 members of NBF’s
Reader Club Scheme utilised the weeks long book exhibition to enhance
their knowledge regarding different subjects. The exhibition got
constructive response from people of all walks of life. The books on
Islamic history and literature including Tafseer, Fiqah and other
literary and religious books attracted a large number of visitors, the
source said. The books of medical, engineering, literature, law,
science, Islamic history and literature, culture, text books and
imported note books were displayed in the exhibition on discounted
rates, while Braille books for the blind persons were provided free.
“The immense variety of books regarding different subjects were
displayed satisfying the needs of all types of book lovers at a single
platform. These exhibition are really helpful for us, a member of
Readers Club while visiting the exhibition remarked.—Online |
