Iranian FM due today

TEHRAN—Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki will pay an official day-long visit to Pakistan on Friday. Iran’s Embassy in Islamabad said on Thursday that Mottaki is expected to meet Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, Caretaker Prime Minister Muhammad Mian Soomro and Foreign Minister Inamul Haq. It added that the Iranian minister is also to visit the grave of former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto in Larkana. Former Pakistani premier Bhutto was assassinated in a suicide attack in Rawalpindi last Thursday. Senior Iranian officials have expressed regret to the Pakistani government, nation and Bhutto’s family over her assassination.—Online
