single country exhibition in SL from 11th
KARACHI—About 100 Pakistani companies will displaytheir products at
Pakistan single country exhibition which opens atBandranaike Memorial
Conference and Exhibition Hall, Colombo from January 11 to 13. Trade
Development Authority (TDAP) is organising this three-day event to
showcase Pakistani products in Sri Lankan market and take maximum
advantage of free trade agreement between the two countries. The
products included textile garments, bed sheets, yarn, fabrics, bed
linens, leather and leather garments, pharmaceutical, herbal medicines,
food products, chemicals, rice, medical disposable, surgical and dental
instruments, jems and jewellery, cosmetics, auto parts, furniture,
motorcycles, sports goods and wear, gloves, fans and home appliance,
carpets and rugs, footwear, agri equipment, construction material,
safety match, cutlery, canned food, canvas, tents and tarpaulins, tiles,
upvc pipes, toiletries, sanitary ware and fittings, engineering goods,
aluminum products. It may be noted that Pak-Sri Lanka trade has doubled
from $146 million in 2003-04 to $264 million during 2006-07.—Agencies
