Stocks rebound

KARACHI—The continued aggressive buying at the local capital market on Friday pushed the benchmark KSE-100 Index by 263 points to 14260.
Energy scrips continued to lead gains, while cement shares also invited steady buying on expectations of strong earnings growth. Turnover rose to 288 million shares, compared to 228 million shares on Thursday.
Dealers said despite heightened local interest in the market; foreign investors remained inactive. They seem concerned about the credit-risks after the recent political unrest.—Agencies
