Elahi comes hard on PPP
Bureau Report
LAHORE—The president of PML (Q) Punjab, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has
strongly castigated the husband of late PPPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto
and present co-chairman, warning Pakistanis to choose between
Quaid-e-Azam’s or Zardari’s Pakistan.
Addressing a press conference here, he strongly condemned the murderous
attack on late Benazir Bhutto and berated Zardari, on whose orders the
Province of Sindh was subjected to a massive destruction, in which 600
banks, dozens of industrial units, sugar mills, thousands of shops,
offices and cars have been torched to destruction, while only the toll
of Pakistan Railways was an astronomical Rs. 8 billion.
He accused Zardari of masterminding and commanding forcible occupation
of lands, estate property and houses of thousands of Punjabi immigrants
by miscreants, forcing them out of the Province. The office holders of
PML (Q) have been specifically targeted.
Pervez Elahi vowed not to desert the suffering victims of Sindh Province
in these hard and trying times and informed that a cell had been
established in the PML house to ascertain all possible date about the
suffering victims while Edhi Foundation has been directed to collect all
the data on suffering victims, which would be compensated.
He said that Zardari’s true colors were exposed, as previously he had
been looting banks and involved in other scams, while recently he has
taken a political route for his nefarious designs, and keeping in view
the recent turmoil in Sindh, the masses can well imagine how would
things stand if Zardari ever came to power.
He announced that a call has been given to all Leaguers to carry on
their electoral campaign with full zeal, efforts to ensure the
continuity of economic progress, social harmony, and maintaining a
healthy environment for investment in the Country.
He warned the PML (N) president Shahbaz Sharif that he would have to pay
all the damages suffered by PML (Q) workers, since he (Pervez Elahi) had
definite proof that Shahbaz Sharif had been giving personal orders for
attacks on PML (Q) workers and would be made to pay the price for all
the damages sustained.
He strongly refuted that PML (Q) was seeking an escapade form elections
as was being propagated by Zardaris and Sharifs, vowing that PML (Q) was
all set to participate in elections on 08th Jan or any other date
whatsoever. He said that Zardaris and Sharifs would never be able to
cash the death of Benazir Bhutto, and warned both parties to desist from
any conspiracy against PML (Q).
