Pak, India exchange lists of Nuke-facilities

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan and India which conducted nuclear tests in 1998 to barge into the global nuclear club, Tuesday exchanged lists of nuclear installations under an agreement intended to prevent mutual attacks on these facilities.
Mr. Saljuk Mustansar Tarar, Director (India), Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over list of Pakistan’s nuclear installations and facilities to an officer of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad at the Foreign Office at 1100 hrs (PST). The Indian side handed over their list to Mr. Janbaz Khan, First Secretary, Pakistan High Commission at the Minsitry of External Affairs in New Delhi at 1130 hrs (IST), says a statement issued by the Foreign office.
This is the 17th time such lists have been exchanged under the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attack Against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between India and Pakistan. The agreement, which was signed in 1988, came into effect in 1991.—Online
