Water being supplied to all localities of pindi

RAWALPINDI— Assistant Secretary Chaklala cantonment Board, Nishan Ali Malik has said that all area of chaklala cantonment including Dheri Hasanabad, Talhi Mohri were continuously receiving supply of water during three days of mourning for former Prime Minister and PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto.
According to the officials, in chaklala cantonment all personnel related to tube wells remained on their duty and water supply to all localities despite the protests.
In three days of mourning in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, taking benefits of these protests some miscreants tried to harm the peaceful environment of the twin cities and public property. These miscreants tried to damage some tubewells and offices in some localities, but offices remained safe from any damage. However, the staff deputed on duty at these tubewells remained there and provided water to the area residents.
A good number of residents of Dheri Hasanabadand, other localities appreciated the performance of the staff. Muhammad Farooq, resident of Dheri Hasanabad said that he received water in three days of mourning. They continuously get water on normal days and there is no shortage of water in the area.
“In Talhi Mohri tubewell and concerned staff including operators, valve men and supervisor were present when I went there on Sunday morning to ask them about supply of water tanker”, said Wahid Hussain. Smooth supply of water to all areas is monitored by different authorities in the departments, they added.
