Miscreants force shops closure

KARACHI—Police and Rangers have intensified patrolling in the city following prevailing rumors and firing in different part of the city. Business centers and petrol pumps have been closed and Public transport has disappeared from the roads due to which commuters are facing severe problems.
The business activities have been virtually halted in the city after fifth day of the martyrdom of Benazir Bhutto on Monday when some unidentified persons opened fire in the market of Saddar, Jamia Cloth, Bolton Market, Tariq Road at 1:00 pm. Moreover, rumors of attack on Altaf Hussain has further fueled to the fire. Life has been crippled in the city and police and ranger have intensified its patrolling in the city to maintain law and order.—Agencies
