Bhukhari hails PPPP decision to participate in election

ISLAMABAD—Caretaker Minister for Environment, Local Government and Rural Development Syed Wajid Hussain Bhukhari has hailed the PPPP decision to participate in the General election to be held on January 08, 2007.
He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of elders from district Attock here on Monday. He termed it a positive step and said that it would ensure maximum representation.
The government would provide level playing field to all the political parties, he said and appealed to all the political parties to contest the upcoming elections. He further stated that election commission of Pakistan would ensure the holding of free, fair and transparent elections in the county and government should welcomes foreign and local observers to monitor the elections, he added. While talking about the postponement of election, he said that any such decision would be taken after consultation with all the political parties.
