Life coming towards normalcy in twin cities

ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI—Routine Life has come to normal here on the fifth
day after the assassination of PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto at Liaqat
Bagh on Thursday evening.
The twin cities which was presenting a gloomy look in last five days
seems to show a usual atmosphere with the hustle and bustle of public
transport and people going to their respective work. Public Transport
Vehicles though not in full numbers also started plying between twin
cities and Commuters who were nearly cut since last five days heaved a
sigh of relief.
On the other hand, people took a sigh of relief with the opening of
shops especially Medical Shops and other Departmental Stores to fulfil
their needs.
All the Petrol and CNG pumps opened on Monday with rows and rows of
vehicles waiting for their turn to fill petrol and CNG in their
respective vehicles.
People of the twin cities were seen buying food, grocery, medicines and
other household stuff in amid security concerns.
Meanwhile strict security measures were seen at all the entry and exit
points of Twin Cities to avert any further untoward incident.
The life in Rawalpindi returned to normalcy after four days of shutter
down.
All the markets, bazaars and shops, which were closed since three days
have reopened. Traffic remains normal.
However, some of the protesters have pelted stone at Lal Hawaii, the
central election office of Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Monday. The police
have baton charged and dispersed the activist and supporters of PPP.
