Hasina Wajed falls sick in court

DHAKA—Former Bangladeshi prime minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed fell sick in court on Monday during a hearing on extortion charges, a state prosecutor said. The leader of the Awami League, one of Bangladesh’s main parties, complained of sickness minutes after the hearing began amid high security at a special courtroom in the parliament complex in Dhaka, said Mohammad Borhanuddin.—Agencies
