Khar terms Benazir’s murder a conspiracy

ISLAMABAD—Former leader of Pakistan People’s Party Malik Ghulam Mustafa Khar expressed heartfelt condolence on the tragic death of Benazir Bhutto, terming it cospiracy against the federation. Talking to newsman he said, someone infact exploded bomb in the foundation of Pakistan and “someone has targeted the very root of the country.”
“My mind is in a state of shock and I cannot believe that she is gone,” he said, adding her death is a tragedy in national history. He was of the view that a leadership vaccum has emrged in national politics, which is not expected to be filled in the near future. He said that after Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed, her death was irreparable loss. He said,”it is good omen that Pakistan is not facing serious threats from outside.” —Agencies
