Jehangir Tareen joins PML(F)

RAHIM YAR KHAN—Former federal minister Jenahgir Khan Tareen has formally joined the PML (F). Talking to reporters here Sunday, he said that he would contest the forthcoming elections from NA-195,R.Y Khan on the platform of PML (F). He said that he had served the people of this constituency for five years and hoped that they would vote for him . The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the final list of candidates of national and provincial assemblies contesting for upcoming general elections scheduled to be held on January 8, 2008.
According to details, the list of candidate is available at the offices of all the concerned returning officers, which the candidates can see. It is pertinent to mention here that a larger number of candidates of 47 political parties are contesting the elections besides the independent candidates, who are approximately thirteen thousand in number.—Agencies
