BB served as beacon light for women politicians: Nilofar

ISLAMABAD—Former federal minister Nilofar Bakhtiar has said PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto serves as beacon light for women politicians all over the world particularly Pakistani women adding the vacuum created in the politics of the country due to her death will never be filled.
She said this in her exclusive talks with Online Saturday. She held Benazir Bhutto was a source of encouragement for political leadership of the country and her death came as a severe shock for women politicians.
Benazir Bhutto was known as visionary political leader not only in the Muslim world but also in all over the world, she held. Women were targeted for their participation in country’s politics at par with men folk but when Benazir Bhutto became first woman prime minister of Muslim world it opened the avenues for women folk to enter into politics, she remarked. The ghastly murder of Benazir Bhutto is attack on sovereignty of country, she maintained. Investigations into Liaqat Bagh incident should be conducted at high level ,she demanded adding those found involved in the assassination of Benazir Bhutto should be brought to justice.
