Record of all Islamabad police being computerized: IGP

ISLAMABAD—All departments of Islamabad police are being computerized alongwith automation of police station registers, driving license of traffic police, criminal record,
Rescue 15, payroll management system, human resource managementsystem, vehicle management system, stock and inventory management system.
It was stated by inspector General of Police, Islamabad Shahid Nadeem Baloch here.
The IGP said Islamabad Police adopted service oriented policing by introducing computer technology “a requirement of the day” and transferred manual system on computers after establishing acentralized data centre.
This unique data centre aims at ensuring smooth police working and provide better services to the masses by adopting the latestcomputer technology.
He said Islamabad Police is the first institution tointroduce this system with an estimated cost of Rs.11 million.
The IGP said the purpose of this project is to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of police work.
He said the system would be operational in all the policedivisions on testing basis and the formal inauguration of the automated system will be carried out within the coming days.
