Surveillance
to continue for smooth flour supply
ISLAMABAD—Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Amir Ali Ahmed said Sunday
surveillance would remain continue to ensure smooth supply of flour in
the Capital.
He said that special teams headed by magistrates are monitoring the
flour supply.
He said flour-loaded trucks are continuously supplying flourin
flour-deficient areas of the Federal Capital and ensuring its provision
at fixed rate under the supervision of magistrates.
Following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Amir Ali Ahmed, these
trucks provided flour under the supervision of Magistrates in the areas
of Bhara Kahu, Tarlai, Tarnol Golra,
Sihala, Aabpara, Karachi Company, G-8, Peshawar Mor areas and
SitaraMarket.
The magistrates also checked the record of flour dealers supplying it to
the consumers after getting it from mills. The Deputy Commissioner said
the situation has improved to a great extent in rural and urban areas of
the Capital. “Strict action would be taken against the hoarders and
those involved in creating artificial shortage,” he said.—Agencies
